All Dweghom possess, in varying degrees, some affinity to the Primordial Elements of Fire and Earth but those among them that actually wield sorcerous power are invariably tremendously powerful in either one, or both, Elements. This is the direct result of the labors of their Tempered ancestors who sought to master and control the raging forces of War’s Prison. What these Ancestors could not foresee, however, was the lack of control over these powers that the Dweghom display. Their control is so limited, in fact, and their power so great, that gifted Dweghom are doomed to die, consumed by their own gift.
Knowing this, it comes as little surprise that at the heart of a Tempered Sorcerer’s quest for power, one will ultimately always find the pursuit of control. This is what the Tempered believe they surrendered that fateful day they broke War’s prison: control of their power, control of themselves, control of their future. And it is all of these things that they struggle to regain.
The Tempered hierarchy places very little value on raw power, but rather focuses on control. It comes as little surprise that almost invariably the leaders of the Tempered Forges are Steel Shapers, for, by the Tempered, they are considered to be the pinnacle of the Dweghom race, as well as its salvation. Below them are those Sorcerers who have managed to balance their Elemental powers but are still in the process of combining them, the Magmancers. Below even them, stand the Sorcerers, who are still struggling to control their gifts, the Geomancers and Pyromancers.

As a byproduct of the diverse genetic material from which the W’adrhŭn were developed, a portion of their population has developed an almost supernatural empathy with beasts. A curious twist to this legacy seems to be that the females bond with predators while males bond with herbivores. Pandora is notorious for twisting an enemy’s attacks back upon them, and little has changed in Third Edition. In addition to forcing enemy models to harm themselves, Pandora is also very good at controlling enemy activations via her Mood Swings Ability, which allows her to discard a card or a pass token to choose which model an opponent must activate next. As the embodiment of negative emotions, the Woes each have are tied to a specific Condition, allowing them to capitalize on that Condition with their Misery and Opportunist Abilities, allowing for a cornucopia of versatile effects.

Ghost Arks are often pressed into service as conventional transport vehicles, conveying reinforcements to some vital area of the battlefield, or allowing Necron forces to attack from an unexpected quarter.
The Necron Ghost Ark is a large model with an imposing presence in a collection of miniatures. Immense engines sit at the rear of the model, and its frame displays detailing such as orbs and dynastic glyphs. A Necron Lord sits atop the Ghost Ark in a commanding position. In front of the Lord, a line of Necron Warriors is positioned as if standing inside the gargantuan ribcage of some primordial beast. The Ghost Ark also contains formidable weaponry with five gauss flayers on each side.

Having dealt with her sister’s false claim upon the Nephilim, Nekima has finally risen to the position of master. As one might expect, she is a terrifying melee combatant who is capable of both great speed and immense damage. Not surprisingly, the thematic Ability linking her thematic crew together is the Black Blood of the Nephilim, which splashes out to damage those around them each time they are wounded.

This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble a set of 3 Deathshroud Bodyguard. Impressively large and dense, covered in rot, decay, tentacles and horror, these models exemplify the corrupting gift that Nurgle imparts. How they play:
Nords are all about aggression, as a “glass-cannon” army it’s kill or be killed. Typical Nord strategy involves putting as much pressure on the opponent as possible until they break. Every Nord unit gets stronger when they’re damaged, meaning that even if they don’t get the first hit in a fight they’re still hitting hard if not harder than they would be uninjured. Masters of the ambush and surprise, the army is all about momentum and while not the fastest force on the table you wouldn’t know it, as Nords are able to seize the initiative with multiple abilities to control their deployment and hamper their enemies’.

This Artisan Series release is dedicated to high quality, hand crafted sculpting and resin. The title of Jarl is perhaps the most misleading. Much like the word ‘Lord’ used in the southern lands, there can be a great gulf between two different individuals addressed by the same title. The same holds true in Nord society, where a Jarl remains a recognized leader of men, but the number and puality of the troops at his disposal can vary wildly. In the southern coast of Mannheim, where the weather is a little sweeter than in the true north and the sea provides its bounty through both raiding and fishing, a Jarl might rule over no more than one prosperous town or village, but still manage to support a standing fighting force of over a hundred hard bitten raiders and huskarls, doubling or tripling that during times of need. On the other hand, in the deep north where only small communities of few people can be sustained, a Jarl’s available manpower shrinks tremendously, often resulting in situations where a single Jarl and his hand-picked chosen men range over a large area, hunting and tracking outlaws and predators. The gap is further widened due to another powerful determinant of a Jarl’s status and resources; one’s command of ships. Having the ability to entice warriors with the promise of plunder and the income provided by the same, southern Jarls often command enough warriors to commit half their forces to raiding year round, without having to sacrifice on efficiency of their dwelling’s other operations. All the while, the income and glory from successful raids adds to a Jarl’s prestige, bringing even more men willingly under their command.
How they Play:
Tacticians and masters of raids, Jarls storm enemy positions with a mix of human infantry, brutes, and mighty Jotnars. Essential to any Nord Army List, these characters present a well-balanced aggressive warband to the battlefield, ensuring a strong early presence.
