Miniature Trees
Vegetation is a fundamental element in the world of modeling and scale models to give realism to projects. These hobby skinny trees are made of branches and sparse bushes, allowing you to use them to obtain a more natural effect or to achieve other aspects by customizing them using various techniques:
Adding paint. Paint the leaves and branches with acrylic paints. This allows the creation of tones and textures that mimic the variety of colors present in nature, applying layers of colors and shades. You can also use more striking colors to create a dystopian reality, it all depends on the purpose of your project.
Texturing the trunk. To imitate the bark, you can texturize the trunk. One way to achieve this is to apply a mixture of fine sand and paint to the branches and trunks, giving them a rough texture. Another option is to use textured paste directly.
Adding vegetation or flocking: Another way to customize this product is to add more vegetation, such as miniature leaves or static grass in the color of your choice using any of our static grass applicator.
Sealing and protection. It is highly recommended to apply a transparent sealer or varnish with an airbrush, a mat spray varnish or even some lacquer in case you do not have the previous elements; in order to protect the elements that you have added and fix, at the same time, the seeds of the branches. This way they will not fall over time and the finish will be more durable.
How to use hobby skinny trees?
They can be used for various purposes in outdoor landscapes. The most common are:
Creating miniature trees: this is the most obvious application, which can represent different species after customizing them and adding details.
Forests and landscapes: one of their uses is to create thin and long arbole forests, similar to birch forests. By assembling a large number of these diorama trees it is also possible to create dense, lush forests that add depth and detail to the model.
Terrain decoration: bring life to metropolitan areas, a model railroad, and any other outdoor landscape.
Adhesive to fix down all kinds of earth, gravel, small stones, sand, etc to your bases. This special adhesive, with an alcohol base, is much more effective than the traditional white glue. The white glue tends to leave a plastic finish over the surface giving an unreal aspect and also tends not to expand well through the material. But this new adhesive expands rapidly and is adsorbed by the stones and sand saving a lot of time when fixing down rubble for example. This product is easily cleaned using alcohol, can be applied using an airbrush or paint brush and the drying process can be accelerated with a hairdryer or any other type of heat source. Although it’s matt when it dries, on smooth surfaces it can leave a light satin mark, however, this can be removed with a matt varnish.Original product of AK-interactive, don’t choose copies.

The dark and narrow streets of Dunsmouth, Rhode Island is home to a small fishing community. Typically in communities like this everyone knows everyone else's business, but not in Dunsmouth. Here people keep themselves to themselves and there is a constant state of tension and paranoia that hangs over the town like a cloying mist. The well above average number of unexplained disappearances seem to go uninvestigated by the authorities and the inhabitants tend not to discuss such things with outsiders, if they take the time to talk to them at all. Dunsmouth is not a place to take a summer vacation, in fact you would do well to give the place a wide berth.
